Do you pay shortest book miles or Practical Miles?
- We pay Practical miles on all loaded and empty dispatch miles.
How much experience does Barr-Nunn require?
- We currently require a minimum of 12 months current OTR experience.
What area of the country will I be operating in?
- 22 % in the Southeast
  54 % in the Midwest
  21 % in the Northeast
  3 % in the New England States
How often will I get home?
- Over the Road = Home every other weekend
  Regional Fleet = Home on weekends
  Hometime Fleet = Home a minimum of 3 out of 4 weekends.
What is Band Pay?
- Band Pay is extra pay per mile for all complete loads you pickup and deliver that are less then 550 miles.
Do I take the truck home with me?
- Yes. You must have parking for a tractor and trailer in a safe secure location.
Do you have terminal fuel?
- No. We use a fuel network comprised of TA, Petro, Pilot and Loves truck stops.
What equipment do you run?
- We run primarily 2006 and 2007 Freightliner Columbia's. We do have 2009 and 2010 International Pro Stars in our fleet as well. These tractors are mid roofs and have 10 speed transmissions.
What speed is your equipment governed at?
- Our equipment is governed at 62 mph.
Do you offer a Lease Purchase program?
- Barr-Nunn offers a Lease Purchase program to qualified applicants

- Manchester, Pennsylvania

How soon do Medical and Dental Benefits become effective?
- Medical and Dental benefits will become effective 90 days from your date of hire.
When am I eligible to sign up for Barr-Nunn's 401K plan?
- Day 1. Barr-Nunn contributes 2 cents per mile on all your paid miles to your 401K from Day 1, regardless of participation.
Do you have a Rider Program?
- Yes. One person at a time and they must be at least 10 years of age. Cost is $19 per month.
Do you allow Pets?
- No. We do not allow pets in Company equipment.
Do I have to deliver to New York City or Canada?
- No.
Do you pay for detention?
- Yes. Company drivers are paid $10 per hour if they are delayed at a customer longer then 2 hours from the appointment time. Customers are given 2 hours of free time from the appointment time to get the freight loaded or unloaded. Drivers must be on time for pickup and delivery.
How do I submit my paperwork?
- We use truck stop scanning.
What is your paid time off policy?
- Paid Time Off is earned as follows:
  1 week after 120,000 paid miles
  2 weeks after 360,000 paid miles
  3 weeks after 960,000 paid miles
Do you authorize tolls and how do I pay for them?
- We provide all company drivers with a PrePass Plus transponder for all authorized toll expense.
Do I have to unload freight?
- Barr-Nunn has 99.7% No Touch freight.
Do I have to have a Hazmat endorsement to drive for Barr-Nunn?
- No. Hazmat is not required

- Barr-Nunn's average length of haul is approximately 400 miles.
